Painting Description

Glacial melt produces a distinctive blue/green colour. This April stream near Banff is decorative but that unusual colour draws me to paint this subject.

On this trip in 2006 to Banff we were forced to turn back as we made our way north on the highway to Lake Louise. The snow had been so severe that winter that the thaw had caused problems with the road. Because of that we spent more time exploring around Banff…not really a hardship.
