Painting Description

Geraniums, so strong in colour and shape, always grew in my mother’s flowerbox. In this piece I treated them in a more delicate, almost poetic, sort of way which demonstrates how any subject can have many facets. I try to be open to paint what I see, not what I know. Believe it or not, that is very difficult.
