Galt Area Stone Fence
Painting Description
This sepia ink and acrylic work resulted from photos taken some years ago on the Blair-Galt road, not far from Langdon Hall. This wall certainly puts me in mind of Scotland, which was the home of many of the settlers of Galt (Cambridge). The wall is not a cut stone creation but rather a collection of stones picked from the fields. This line of stones resonates with me as I remember a similar line of boulders or near boulders, as I was a small kid, on the back lane of my grandfather’s farm.
