Fruit Market, Aruba

Painting Description

The mix and amount of fruit available in a market like this is quite overwhelming to tourists. Even though many North Americans wandering through the stalls had just ambled down a ship’s gangway after a large breakfast that included luscious fruit, the displays of colourful succulent wares overcame reason and seduced these travelers into purchases. Each port at which we stopped as we made our way from Florida to California through the Panama Canal, boasted markets exploding with such colourful wares.
