Painting Description

This snow-dusted view from high above the river allows us to look across the landscape over towards Bloomingdale. That far shore was settled in the early 1800”s by Jacob Schneider, a brother to Joseph Schneider of Schneider Haus fame. Many of Jacob’s descendants still farm in the Bloomingdale area but now, like my family, have changed their name to Snyder.
