Painting Description

A view from a Perth County bridge shows many shades of spring green. It puts me in mind of looking out over the Irish countryside.

One of the favourite subjects for me is the aerial perspective that is seen from a high point. As the landscape retreats, the colours diminish in intensity as do the light-dark contrasts. This painting requires a vigilance to try and get those properties right.
