Painting Description

This church reached back into the 1400’s as did a number of the houses in this small village just two miles from the splendid gardens at Sissinghurst Castle. So many years have deposited a patina on this lovely church that was only busy on the Garden Weekend, a time when people travel from church to church admiring the spectacular floral decorations in these ancient buildings.
