Freeport Area

Painting Description

I was fortunate that my association with Grand Valley Conservation Foundation introduced me to so many margins of the Grand River. Walking along the river’s banks presents such a powerful and personal point of view. This unknown, unimportant snippet of the flatlands near the Freeport bridge quietly presented itself as I made my way downstream. I was attracted not only by the subtle colour but also by the trajectory of the track covered for several feet by a small stream making its undisciplined way to join the river.
