Painting Description

I painted this watercolour from our marble-ledged hotel window. Balancing my gear on a ten-inch table, I recorded our personal view of this famed town. With all its galleries and romantic views, there was much to feed the soul and with its great restaurants much to nourish the body. We still occasionally drink a wine “Villa Antinori” that we discovered in one of those cellar bistros.
