Painting Description

Using a photo of a meetinghouse west of St. Jacobs, I developed a picture that has a sense of mystery. I did not want a detailed, hard-and-fast image, but rather one that was loose and impressionistic. In cases such as this, the photo gives me facts from which I select bits and pieces to create a more dreamlike, fuzzy design.
