Painting Description
This huge stone mill is only one of a platoon of early industrial buildings that line the banks of the Grand River in the Elora-Fergus area. The Georgian influence is obvious in the measured conservative style of this unrestored but also unbutchered edifice. As a proponent of adaptive re-use in architecture, I am pleased that someone is rescuing this building, but I sure hope that it will not be defaced in the process.
