Family History
Painting Description
Generations have built additions to this Elmira area farmhouse which tell of the ever expanding fortunes of this Mennonite family.
The many additions to the original farmhouse, yellow brick Victorian, tell of changing needs of the family over many years. It is quite likely that the yellow Victorian house was an Eaton’s package house. The “poly tunnels” beside the house tell of the current cash crop of market gardening.
