Painting Description

I negotiated through a forest of posts holding up a restaurant in the quiet village of Ayr to arrive at this sketching spot. The fallen log had created a silky smoothness to the stream that slipped near silently over its length. Beside the dark undercarriage of the neighbouring building, the water flowed softly from the dam.
