Painting Description

This sweeping view pleasantly reminds me of scenes that I have savoured in England, in particular in Sussex. Lacking in this view are the needles of church spires piercing the pillowy sky and the colour of tile roofs that interrupt the landscape’s green. I’m surprised that it is still possible to find an area here in Ontario, so close to Toronto, that is so unbroken by man-made colour.
