For thirty-five years we have visited the U.K. on an almost annual basis drawn by the vestiges of romance that this sceptered isle still possesses. This pretty village in Surrey holds a wonderful collection of attractive houses of many styles that cluster around a town square with its monument. Spring in a village like this is magical. We often rent small houses or flats in places such as this and delight in the beauty and the charm. We enjoy our daily trips to the greengrocer and the baker. These pleasant chores are a natural chance to visit with the locals and to enjoy the music of the accents that delight us so much. Oh, and the pubs, did I mention the pubs? Well …
