Empty Winter Sleigh
Painting Description
I often paint bits or pieces that I think will work as part of a more complicated work. This empty sleigh was parked in a sugar bush and seemed to me a great piece of business that I could add. Interestingly this good-sized work (18x24) never became part of a larger work. Seldom do I paint things larger than this format. I find that as the format increases, I have more difficulty finding resolution.
