Drawn up to the Barn
Painting Description
Although a realistic description of a wagon by a barn on Benjamin Road in Waterloo, my approach is a very design-oriented one. Notice how strongly the diamond shape of the field is played against the rectangles of the buildings. Only the white team presents a soft-sided shape.
