Painting Description

What a dramatic rhythm is set up by the wall-topping stones in East Leach, Gloucester, near the bottom of the Cotswolds. The colours of the surface, so bright, almost garish, contrast with the green blanket of the fields. How I would like to have a wall like this at home but, alas, in a northern country, I know the frost would elbow the stones down in just one winter.
