Although many urban people see rural life as calm and almost leisurely, the reality is that at a time such as harvest, speed and efficiency are critical to get the crop off the field and into the barn. I just happened by this scene of the harvest brought to a standstill by a mechanical problem and realized very quickly that for this crew this shut down could be a major problem.

The farm is on Highway 86 between Elmira and Guelph, not far from the West Montrose Covered Bridge.
