Painting Description

Either at home in Canada or when travelling, I greatly enjoy driving the countryside waiting for something, some view to lasso me. This small house anchors the east side of a small village in Derbyshire. It is the last of a group of seven houses that guard a corner where three roads converge. On a drive one afternoon to a pub that had been recommended by our farmhouse host, we just happened upon this hamlet so small that they do not have a village shop or even a pub. The toy-like quality of this property is most appealing.
