Painting Description

I very much enjoy taking a small piece of landscape and showcasing it in a major way. This painting of a small creek near Millbank, with the delicate shelves of ice, grew in my studio over the course of six months. Adding pieces and subtracting others, I created a design that resembles but is not a slave to the actual scene.
