Painting Description

We just happened on to this village one afternoon as we set off from our farmhouse self-catering spot, driving to a pub listed in the Good Pub Guide. This village was at the confluence of three roads holding in the centre plot, a village green that cradled this small pond complete with ducks. Osmaston (Derbyshire) is a village that could have been created by Disney but has instead existed for many hundreds of years. It is among the most romantic villages that I have seen in England.
