Painting Description

This piece was painted on site in the garden of a friend in Alton, Ontario. There is a subtle almost abstract colour pattern to the spring version of this garden. By summer this garden resembles an Amish crazy quilt with slashes of bright colour competing for attention. As is common with many gardeners, the lady who directs this garden drama cannot resist adding just a few more brightly hued players.
