Painting Description

In the small courtyard of a monastery in Tallinn, Estonia, several music students presented a short concert of medieval music for tourists. Although the music was foreign sounding and repetitive, the embrace of the architecture fostered a warm response. I wonder if medieval music is gaining a popular audience. In Bruges, Belgium, we were serenaded similarly in the courtyard of a cathedral.
