Colour Patterns, Bryce Canyon, Utah
Painting Description
Patterns of simple coloured shapes reach into the far distance. The pillars of stone create a dramatic view.
This painting shows a view of Bryce Canyon that for my money rivals the Grand Canyon. Viewed from the rim the colours change from oranges to blues and the landscape retreats in a painting term called aerial perspective.
