Cloud Will Lift
Painting Description
A cloudy morning in the Bow River valley near Banff, Alberta, promised hope that the sun would come through and brighten this winter scene a little later.
This view presented itself on April 9, 2006. We had decided to see the Rockies in a different season from our normal summertime excursions. Since we do not ski, we had not viewed this area before with patches of snow. I was much taken with the exaggerated contrasting patterns that are so evident at this time of the year.
