Painting Description

This tree is located in the back garden of a house that we rented in Frittenden, Kent in 1998. Pictured early in the spring, this tree with its huge chain was intriguing. I learned later from the owner that the chain had been transported all the way from their country cottage in Cornwall. The white ladder was simply an assist for their small kids to get up into the tree.
