Painting Description

Driving across Vancouver Island, it is impossible to miss this monumental stand of virgin forest. Luck was with us as we took this single route across the island. The sunlight sliced through the trees creating theatrical patches of light and shade. The canopy is so thick that very little grows on the forest floor.
