This rural property was totally refurbished by the couple shown in the driveway. Their labour of love took many years, and this painting marked the finishing of that project. Only two years later they sold the property but took the painting with them as a portable piece of their farm. It is not unusual for people to commission a painting of a family farm that is no longer in the family but has been sold. I find myself freezing memories for future generations and I take that as a compliment and a responsibility.
