Painting Description

We went to this area of London, England to visit a friend. We were totally charmed by the floating homes that bobbed in the tree-lined canal not far from the London Zoo. The area of Little Venice has become very ritzy, and even the canal boats with their assigned moorings are very pricey. What a strong contrast between the startling colours of the houseboats and the staid Victorian houses along the canal.
