Painting Description

This piece is a good example of a small corner of interest right at my back door. This Mennonite-owned woodland just north-west of the Waterloo Farmers Market is actively used for Maple Syruping, but the rest of the year sees almost no man-made activity. I have no great explanation as to why I decided to sketch this roadway. The light, the colour, the shadows, who knows what appeals?
