This bright sun creates sharp contrasts on the piece of a farm creek.

In this painting I pushed the contrasts in sun and shade to make a very lively painting. In every painting I must decide what approach I wish to take to the subject. For me, my emphasis changes as the painting develops and I see new possibilities as I become more familiar with the subject.
