Painting Description

This large watercolour-style painting with its pastel colours and soft edges presents a quiet restrain in contrast to the more often seen raucous colours of autumn. Much of the painting that I do in cottage country, apart from custom paintings, flows directly from time spent at Mike Roth’s cottage near Huntsville. I met Mike when we were both taking painting lessons from Matt Kousal in 1960. We have remained friends all these years.
