Painting Description

This charming statue stands in the grounds of a rather small “great house” in Sussex. This privately owned garden is now open to the public and is becoming a popular day trip location. Over the years I have developed affection for statuary. Not surprising really when I think of how close I came in art college to pursuing sculpting rather than painting.
