Painting Description

The sunlight, diffused by the emerging leaves in spring, brings a softness to this view of the small stream that snakes its way through Mennonite Country.

The softness of light in this scene which renders the landscape in pastel colours, reminds me of the paintings of the American artist, George Innes, and those of the French painters of the Impressionist movement.
