Bleeker’s Ferry
Painting Description
Col. Bleeker ran a ferry service across the Trent River at what is now Trenton, Ontario. Crossing the river by boat saved the pioneers travelling to areas west of Trentport, as it was then a large detour around the Trent River through dense bush.
