Beginning a New Day
Painting Description
For me, every painting of Mennonite Country starts with a chance glimpse of some activity. In this case, a view of an Amish man arranging the horses for a start of a day’s ploughing inspired this transparent acrylic painting. I chose this format to emphasize the sense of space. For each piece, I try to employ a format, a proportion that will add to the point of the activity.
