Bechtel Park Morning
Painting Description
Sunlight penetrating the canopy creates patterns on the forest floor.
From the time that I started painting at age 12, I have been drawn to theatrical light effects. That probably says something about me but frankly I do not worry about that. It is hard to find a more dramatic light show than in the woods in late spring before the canopy has fully matured.
