Beaune
Painting Description
A picturesque city in Burgundy, France, Beaune is in the business of wine and tourists. Ancient narrow medieval streets make for great romantic paintings.
On the two times that we visited Beaune, we were transported on a river boat on a cruise of the Rhone and Saone Rivers. Although the old Hospital there is one of the must-do tourist stops along with visits to the wine cellars, I was taken by the beauty of the medieval architecture.
