Painting Description

A concrete wall surrounding a cattle yard may seem a strange subject to you. I know it did to the Mennonite farmer who watched me from the barn. For me, the colour of the wall played off well against the red in the buildings and the greens in the foliage. I attempt to see past the obvious subjects and take note of the small unimportant notes of colour or design that are so often overlooked.
