Painting Description

Rice growing in water-soaked fields provides the foreground to this small family farm so typical in Bali.

Travelling by train we got to see the “backside” of small farms like this that would not be visible from the road. I was drawn to peace and tranquility of these areas. There was an echo for me of the more remote Mennonite farms that I love so much.
