Painting Description

I used a dark coloured board as the basis for this dramatic tree because I felt that the sharp contrast enhanced the theatrical quality of what I was trying to do. I take pleasure in approaching a subject in a way that I feel will intensify my presentation of a theme. Often a quite ordinary item can be startling when presented in an unusual way.
