All That’s Left

Painting Description

I like to imagine as I look at a ruin just what the building must have been. What is the story? What was the disaster? How would this stone building just outside of Elora, Ontario come to this end? Often a ruin will show signs of fire, or, on a flood plain, the damage from pushing Springtime water is obvious. Bits of wood are still attached to the last of this wall in a field far from any river.
