Painting Description

A visit to a friend, at his cottage in Muskoka brought me to this peaceful bit of landscape.

Since I was a teenager taking painting lessons from Matt Kousal, I have had an affection for the land that he loved to paint. Raw northern landscape without people and buildings were his stock in trade.
