Painting Description

A small creek finds its way through the autumn colours in this bush near Erbsville. Sunlight finds its way into the woods in splinters.

I have painted this sugar bush many times over the years. The ever inquisitive sunlight peeks through the trees making a storybook picture in the still woods. I have difficulty imagining a more emotional sight, at least for me. I do not or have not painted the portions of this woods that are crisscrossed with blue plastic pipe that gathers the maple sap. I prefer to show the timeless view of this acreage.
