Painting Description

This is a scene from the International Plowing Match that is held each year in Ontario. I love small bits of business like this that tell a small story that is part of a big subject. It is interesting to note that I have painted very few pieces of the actual plowing competition, preferring these private moments.

This original painting was part of a large group of paintings donated by the artist in 2014 to St. Mary’s Hospital.
