Warm Afternoon, Hawkesville

Painting Description

By three-thirty in the afternoon a warm glow can cloak the sugar bush. I enjoy the many light effects that completely change the feeling of a scene. Of note in this piece is the old bulk tank from a milk truck that has been redeployed as a storage vessel for the sap. Mennonites are often very good at taking someone else’s refuse and finding an inexpensive use for themselves.
