Village View, Saskatchewan

Painting Description

I wanted, in this sketch, to portray the early era settlers’ house along with the grain elevators. While this house would probably not have been the first house on this property, it would, I think, go back to the 1920’s. This view in southern Saskatchewan shows as well that not all of this province is flat. Like much of what I do, this piece is not a particular area, but rather a distillation of a number.
