Painting Description

I try to simplify subjects as I paint them. Not only is it impossible to include every detail in a painting but that approach also takes away the editing process which allows me to decide what is important to me. Perhaps it is in this respect that photography differs most from painting, as I see it. And that is the point … as I see it.
