Summer Home of Ole Bull, Norway

Painting Description

Ole Bull was Norway’s first international star. In the middle of the 1800s this talented violinist performed around the world. I didn’t know when I painted his summer home near Bergen, Norway, that he had even played in a concert hall in the Mammoth Caves in Kentucky. This “cottage”, heavily inspired in its design by his travels to India, sits serenely on a wooded point outside of Bergen and is accessible only by water.
